Parcels, the young prodigies from Byron Bay more recently settled in Berlin, have just released their newest single Overnight, produced by… Daft Punk! Reminding us of Jungle’s Time, the tune is the definition of what funky is. Overnight is indeed completely addictive. How can you not dance to this?
Overnight or how Parcels want to make us dance all night long
Daft Punk’s influence on Overnight is noticeable. We recognize a guitar riff and bass line typical of Nile Rodgers’ Get Lucky especially, and influence of other Random Access Memories tunes on the sounds. The latest album from the French Duo was released in 2013. Already.

After their first EP Hideout released on Kitsuné in January, Parcels had already caught our attention with their composing skills and their undeniable sense of melody. And we were not the only ones, as their performances at Les Inrocks Festivals a couple months ago and at We Love Green some weeks ago can confirm.
With a little help from their friends Daft Punk, it is then no surprise that Parcels’ Overnight is buzzing. Already 73k listenings on Soundcloud and almost 350k streams on Youtube in 4 days! One of the first summer hits?
